Lawlor Communications, Inc., is an educational company that focuses on teaching children and adults how to be life-long learners in a multicultural world.
Our mission is to provide both children and adults, professional, intentional, interesting and thought-provoking discussions, lessons and books that address multicultural topics.
Susie Lawlor is a first-time author of Seoul Story. It is a bilingual children’s book, and loosely based autobiographical sketch of her adoption from South Korea to America. Teachers, parents and grandparents can easily have an open dialogue and discuss what it means to be adopted, why are children adopted and the definition of a family. Lawlor’s adoptive parents opened their home and lives to four multi-cultural adoptees. Every adoption story is unique and personal.
As a Korean American, she hopes to use her writing talents and teaching skills to help young children see themselves reflected in all facets of life, whether it's books, professions, or as a trailblazer. Lawlor believes it important to expose and teach children about different cultures and life experiences other than their own.
Lawlor has worked in the education field for over 15 years. Her vocation and passion are to educate students, as well as adults, and impart life lessons and values through her experiences as an adopted child from South Korea.
Prior to teaching, Lawlor worked in communications and public relations in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, California. Lawlor received her Journalism degree from Troy State University. She is pursuing her MAE at Pepperdine University.
